Q. What training programs are offered at the Academy?
A. Currently, training programs are available in carpentry, electrical and other trade specialties.

Q. How do I become a student at the Academy?
A. District students in grades 10, 11 or 12 may enroll in CTE pathways courses. The Academy of Construction and Design also sponsors introductory projects and activities for students grade 9.

Q. What is the enrollment deadline?
A. Applications must be submitted online during the open enrollment periods on MySchoolDC. Please contact us for dates and information.

Q. What are the admission requirements?
A. CTE pathways students must be entering grades 10, 11 or 12 with a GPA of 2.0 or higher and have good conduct.

Q. How much time do students spend in the Academy?
A. Students study technical subjects for one period each day and attend academic classes during the remainder of the school day. Special training sessions, construction site visits and field trips may also be scheduled throughout the year.
